Classroom Seating Interface

Classroom Seating Interface is a small Windows application currently under development by Medessec under the Medessec Education division. An early development public release version is available for free download in Ginever.net's Download Center.

Description

Although being programmed in Game Maker, the application even in its current state has proved to be useful for teachers. The application features a tabbed interface where a teacher can click and "get" a desk, change classes or periods, and save and load a classroom configuration, or start a new one. It allows a user to place desk icons on a classroom, in a locked grid although the grid can be visible if turned on. The teacher can also enter in a name for a student sitting in the desk, which when entered the name will be shown when the mouse is moved over the desk. Eventually the user can create a whole classroom of students and which desk they sit in. A teacher can also click on a desk and enter in a new name, in the case of a seat change or new student. There are also different classes or periods, which can be changed by clicking the "Classes" tab and clicking the left or right arrows. Changing classes keeps the same seat configuration made in the classroom, but you can have different names at the desks. You can also save your classroom, and load another classroom configuration.
