Creative Challenges are a series of contests hosted on Ginever.net by the directors of the Ginever Alliance, open to members with a Normal account or above. They are an interesting and exciting way to show off your talents as an artist, graphic designer and just general creativity. The contest typically involves a goal or project, and members must submit their entry to the challenge to be judged. Whoever's entry is judged as the best wins. The winner then receives an award on their profile to show that they have won and, depending on the context, their entry may be used around the site.

The creative challenges are set and judged by the Creative Challenges Leader, who is elected by the members of Ginever.net during a staff election. The current holder of this position is Trevor Sparks (Medessec). Previous members who have held this position include Jesse Allen (Jesan), Martin Commins (MDC), Robert Dennington (Tinytimrob), and Emily White (Tint).

Rules

Creative Challenges are judged by the Creative Challenges Leader in three main areas. The first is Suitability, or how well the submission fit the requirements and parameters of the challenge. The second is Creativity, in this category high scores are given to submissions clearly showing an interesting form, significant flair and style that makes the work unique. The third major category is practicability, and in this category points are given to how well the submission would work in the real world, or how it appeals universally. There is also a small personal appeal category, what sort of first impression and appeal the submission makes on the Creative Challenges Leader. The three major categories are 15 points maximum each, and the personal appeal category is 5 points maximum, making for a highest possible score of 50 points. There can also be additional scoring categories depending on the challenge.

If there is only one entry, there is no winner. In the event of a tie, the reward will be given out for all of the tied entries.

Late entries can and will be accepted on some challenges, but points will be deducted from the "Suitability" category for lack of punctuality. The amount of time after the deadline submissions will be accepted will depend on the challenge. On some challenges, late submission will not be accepted or scored at all.

You cannot use the same submission twice. You are also discouraged from submitting work which has been used for another purpose, such as a video which has been on your YouTube profile for several months before the challenge was announced. You also may not enter a submission that was not created by yourself.

It is possible to win the next Creative Challenge even if you won the previous one.

The person who holds the position of Creative Challenges Leader may not enter any creative challenges.

In addition to the above rules, challenge-specific rules may be added.
