The RJD Enterprise Solutions Computer Hardware Division, which currently trades as Ginever Computer Systems, is a division of RJD Enterprise Solutions and the Ginever Alliance that operates a computer construction and repair service in Wolverhampton. It is jointly operated by Mike and Robert Dennington. The team build custom systems on request, becoming inactive when no orders have been placed or when constructing a new system would be unfeasible (for example, when Robert is at university). They also perform minor repairs.

Mike is usually in charge of acquiring hardware and performing the initial construction of a new system. Robert is usually in charge of software, although he oversees the jobs carried out by Mike, and usually decides on the hardware being used in a system when the customer is uncertain or has no preference. Although not officially a member of the team, Paul Dennington often helps to test newly built systems.

The team constructed their first computer system in April 2003, but did not become formalised until the creation of RJD Enterprise Solutions in July 2006.

Fruit naming scheme

The division currently names all of its systems after fruits. The reason for this is explained below.

During the installation of UK Online broadband in May 2007, it was necessary to provide an appropriate name for the network. After some consideration, the name Pineapple was chosen, to match the fruit theme of the system Blueberry which they had built the previous year.

In 2008, a computer system was constructed to replace Blueberry. After seeing a completely unrelated advert on television, which included the phrase "Pomegranate is the new Blueberry", they chose to name the new system Pomegranate.

By this point, they owned three devices named after fruits, which eventually led to the tradition of naming future systems in the same way.
